The Community Stakeholders For Social Good Partners With State Emergency Operation Center To Fight COVID19 In Akwa Ibom State.

Representatives of the Akwa Ibom State Emergency Response team today, April 6th, 2020, met with the representatives of the Community Stakeholders for Social Good (CS4SG) to forge a partnership to kick back COVID19 in Akwa Ibom State. The team led by Dr. Godfrey Akro has appointed Dr. Usenobong Morgan to seal the partnership with the group as well as sensitize call center agents who are volunteering members from Private Companies and Businesses of CS4SG Community on the rapid emergency response at our call centers.

The Community Stakeholders are an ecosystem of business Owners, Community leaders, Corporate Organizations, Institutions, Academia, Local Entrepreneurs and professionals who are residents, members of community groups, developers, government workers (and the agencies they represent), neighborhood leaders, and other groups from which the community draws its resources to solve its most pressing social and environmental issues.

Our community is co-created by the people, groups, organizations or businesses that have interest and concern for the Akwa Ibom community. residents, community groups, developers, government workers (and the agencies they represent). We are equal partners with all that exists, co-creators with leaders both visible and invisible, wisdom both remembered and forgotten and the imaginal cells in all of us awaiting awakening, in a materially, intellectually and spiritually evolving community identity.

As communities across the state scramble to protect populations, keeping people educated on COVID-19 is critical, and the Community Center is making this possible through the Community call center. Set up by the CS4SG – AKS to solve some of the challenges that may delay the quick response by the emergency team during this period. The care center currently deploys information in local Akwa Ibom languages to support rising call volumes on COVID-19. “In this unprecedented time of uncertainty, people are demanding access to information,” said Mmanti Umoh, CS4SG Representative. “We are proud to provide reliable and essential information regarding COVID-19 to local residents. It is times like these where the power of human connection and access to information is of the utmost importance.” We have free toll lines up and running for 24 hours. “Our agents work remotely to comply with work from home mandates.”

We have published 0800 300 600 900 as our dedicated line for COVID-19 calls that connects to a separate call center pod, quickly scheduling to route patients to the right care, or emergency unit, based on responses to the questions agents ask. As the number of COVID-19 cases continues to grow in Nigeria., more tactics will be introduced to streamline scheduling, testing, and care. Technology will certainly be one key lever for healthcare providers to better serve their communities and keep patients and staff safe

Accompanying Dr. Usenobong representing The Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Health were representatives of the Government, such as Comrade Ini Ememobong of The MarthaCare Foundation & The Ini Ememobong Foundation; Representatives from the Hensek Group among others.

While sharing that this came on the tail of their collaboration with the POLICE to ensure maximum security for Health Care workers commuting to and from work.
