The COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak that began in late 2019 evolved so rapidly and globally that it was qualified as a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO).
Law enforcement services play a crucial role in contributing to the effort to control the disease, promoting safer communities, and fighting criminals who take advantage of the outbreak.
At CS4SG, we are working 24/7 to support police officers in our member communities as they face these unprecedented challenges.
On Friday the 3rd of April 2020, members of the Community Stakeholders For Social Good ably represented by Mmanti Umoh and Hanson Johnson, paid a visit first to the Office of the Commissioner of Police to register their partnership. The CP, therefore, mandated-the Police PRO N-NUDAM K Fredrick to work with the community.
The team followed through with a visit to the office of the Chief Superintendent of Police, CSP Francis Erhabor, where they intimated him on the activities of the organization, the impact achieved and future plans. As part of their visit, they presented supplies of PPEs which included; hand sanitizers, recommended face masks, hand gloves, etc to the Police Chief.
In his response, the CSP who was overjoyed having received the group and the items thanked the group for their good works and congratulated their efforts towards the fight against the pandemic.

CSP Erhabor also expressed his happiness over the fact that the Police Force was remembered in such a critical time.
It should be noted that the Police force and health workers are First responders in times of Crisis and emergencies like this, and as such, are greatly vulnerable to exposure to the Virus.
We will continue to provide whatever support is necessary to police in our member communities m, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The key to this support is C-24/7, our secure communications system, along with our color-coded system of Notices that enables communities to share alerts and requests for information statewide. Volunteers at our Command and Coordination Centre are available round-the-clock, while our specialized units ensure the latest trends and threats are shared with the law enforcement community statewide.
